SCENE 3 The Amazing Mumford gathers Bob, Maria, Yvette, and Percy to witness a magic trick. He says his magic words — "à la peanut butter sandwiches" — and makes the newsstand disappear. Everyone's amazed, but Mumford had something else in mind, so he brings it back. On a second attempt, he makes the table and chairs go away, but he's still displeased, so he conjures them back up again. For his third try, he urges everyone (including the viewer) to say the magic words along with him this time. They confront Cookie Monster, but he denies the charge: "Not have same mustache!" He shouts, "Look over there!" -- and while they're distracted, he draws a mustache on the poster.
