SCENE 1 Big Bird wakes up in the morning after his alarm goes off. He tells us that Mr. Snuffleupagus slept over at his nest, but now he seems to be missing, along with the blanket he slept with. He realizes that Snuffy probably went sleepwalking and begins looking for him. He asks some kids if they've seen him, but they haven't. One of them points Big Bird to two objects covered with tarp. He checks under one and finds soft, brown fur… it’s Snuffy!

SCENE 1 cont'd Gordon and Susan come out of 123 Sesame Street discussing how Gordon covered their car because he wants to keep it shiny and clean after having washed and polished it, which Susan finds silly. Gordon decides to show her and at first thinks it’s the object Big Bird and his friends are standing by and begins to lift up the blanket. He remembers that’s not where he parked, and sure enough the other object is revealed to be Gordon and Susan’s car. Big Bird tries informing them that Snuffy is right there and is ready to have them meet, but Gordon is running late for work and Susan doesn’t have the patience to stick around for Big Bird’s nonsense.

SCENE 1 cont'd Snuffy wakes up as Big Bird and the kids pull the blanket off of him and learns that he not only walked in his sleep last night, but also slept behind Gordon’s car. The mention of Gordon and Susan prompts Snuffy to apologize for not waking up in time to meet them. Big Bird glumly responds: “Yeah, well…maybe you’ll meet them...someday."

Ernie tests the Cookie Counter by pointing the rod at the box of cookies, the box doesn't ring. Cookie Monster asks Ernie to face the Cookie Counter rod to his stomach; it rings five times as proof of the location of the five cookies.

Before he can pay, Big Bird informs him that the glasses on the table are for Snuffy who is very thirsty, but Bob doesn’t believe him. Big Bird allows Bob to play a “One of These Things” game with the glasses, sorting by quantity, but somehow doesn’t see Snuffy drink all four of the glasses through his snuffle. When Bob notices the empty glasses, the kids try to tell him that Snuffy drank them and Big Bird reminds him how thirsty Snuffy was, suggesting he believe him next time.
