Saying goodbye to New Mexico.

  • Big Bird finds out that everybody on the New Mexico ranch gets up early because they have work to do. He tries out the chicken feed that a woman is throwing to the chickens, and says it's pretty good. He finds Gordon and some kids feeding alfalfa to a bunny. Maria and Roberta are making adobe bricks. Bob is building a window. Oscar is tending to his morning chores, too -- helping Señor Romo feed slops to the pigs.
  • Old West: A cowboy who needs a dentist comes to see Adam T. Glaser, who is such a jack-of-all-trades that he forgets what a dentist does. (EKA: Episode 0734)
  • Big Bird dresses up in cowboy vest and spurs for his first riding lesson. Maria brings the horse, Princess, but she notices that Big Bird is nervous about the horse. She shows Big Bird how to be gentle with the horse.
  • The Country Mouse lives peacefully on the farm when his cousin, the City Mouse, comes to visit. The City Mouse is appalled that his cousin lives in a haystack, eats acorns, and listens to birdsong. He invites his cousin to come visit him in the city. The Country Mouse visits the City Mouse's apartment, and finds that his cousin eats pizza, doesn't mind traffic sounds, and listens to groovy music on his stereo. The Country Mouse is startled when he hears a cat. The City Mouse sighs, "Oh, that's just the cat. That means he's hungry, and he wants to catch us and eat us for dinner." Horrified, the Country Mouse goes back to the country, where he's safe. The City Mouse offers the cat a bite of pizza. (EKA: Episode 0349)
  • Bob notices some T words around the farm -- "truck", "tire"... and when he sees that the tire is flat, he's found "trouble".
  • An Anything Muppet boy and girl have a conversation using the letters of the alphabet.
  • Harvey Kneeslapper asks a man, "Do you want me to keep an eye on your hat?" The man says yes. Harvey then puts a letter I on top of the man's hat, crushing it in the process. (EKA: Episode 0288)
  • Luis, Gordon, Maria and Bob are all working hard building the new house. Big Bird offers to help, the work is too dangerous, and everyone tells him to go play. Big Bird gets upset -- he came to New Mexico to help, too! The adults confer, and then they say that they can't get their work done unless somebody goes and gets them some water. Big Bird is thrilled to have a job to do.
  • Juanita looks for "YO", asking, "¿Esto es yo?" Nope, it's a toy car, and a tomato, and a mirror. Looking in the mirror, she finds herself. "¡Hola, yo!" she cries.
  • Luis and a boy ride on a horse.
  • Ernie and Bert: Lefty the Salesman wants to sell Ernie a painting of a tree, which he says is a picture of four elephants. Ernie doesn't see the four elephants, so Lefty offers to show him the elephants if Ernie will buy the picture for a nickel. Lefty points out the elephants, which are actually spaces in the tree's branches. Ernie shells out for the picture. Ernie wants to pull the same trick on Bert, but Bert notices the elephants right away. (EKA: Episode 0722)
  • Cookie Monster: Cookie Monster goes to the carnival and plays the "test your strength" game. Unbeknownst to him, the carnival barker rigged the game so nobody can win -- until Cookie finds out what the prize is. (EKA: Episode 0707)
  • A Large Lavender Live Hand Anything Muppet cowboy shouts across a canyon to hear the echo. "Yippee ki-yi-yo!" is repeated back to him perfectly. When he shouts "One!", the echo repeats back, "¡Uno!" The cowboy is startled. "Two!" he shouts, and the echo repeats, "¡Dos!" "You s'pose that's Mexico over there?" he asks. He continues to count to ten, with the echo repeating the numbers back in Spanish. Frustrated, he shouts, "How are you?" "¡Muy bien, gracias!" is the reply. "Oh, this is ridiculous," the cowboy says, and throws his cowboy hat into the canyon. A sombrero is thrown back in return.
  • Their work is done, so the Sesame Street friends sing a happy song about going home. Luis says goodbye to his family, and everybody gets in the truck... except for Big Bird, who's so excited that he stands with the family waving goodbye. As the truck pulls away, he remembers that he's supposed to be on it. His friends stop for him, and help him onto the truck. They drive away, back to Sesame Street.
