SCENE 1 Gordon hears the overly-loud sound of an alarm clock, and finds it coming from Oscar's trash can. Oscar tosses the troublesome clock out since it wakes him up when he wants to sleep. Gordon tells him that's how an alarm clock is supposed to work, and considers keeping the clock. Oscar goes over what might happen if he ends up sleeping late without the alarm: he'd feel more relaxed, and do activities that wouldn't bother anyone else - then realize this'd make him even more grouchier. Gordon gives the clock back to Oscar.
