- Big Bird is going on vacation, but he carries an empty suitcase -- because on his vacation, he needs nothing but a good rest.
- Ernie and Bert: At the movies, Ernie sits behind a woman wearing a tall hat.
- Grover Sketches: At night, Grover thinks he hears noises in the dark. When he sees a shadow on the wall, he cowers under the covers - but the shadow turns out to be his Mommy.
- Grover and Ernie sing about fear.
- Ernie and Bert: Ernie makes a clay bust of Bert, but runs out of clay for the nose, so he pulls Bert's nose off and puts it on the statue.

- Ernie and Bert: Ernie stacks cups and saucers in order to count them, making Bert quite nervous. Luckily, they're glued together.

- The Miss Muffet Play: Little Miss Muffet rehearses for a play about her nursery rhyme. At the "Along came a spider" clue, Muffet's co-star enters wearing a number of different animal costumes, including a rabbit and a duck. Miss Muffet becomes increasingly annoyed -- and when he shows up as a fish, she grabs the parts of his fish costume off of him, and puts his spider outfit on. Naturally, once she sees the spider costume on him, Miss Muffet is frightened, and a crazy chase ensues. (EKA: Episode 0280)
- Nelly counts from 1 to 10, then back.
- Maria and David are about to start a ping-poing game, but David doesn't have a paddle. After holding several different types of sports equipment in its place, he finally gets the correct one. Once the problem is solved, Maria and David realize they don't have a ping-pong ball. Dozens of balls then fall on them. (This is a reference to Captain Kangaroo.)
- Big Bird re-groups his lunch of soup, ice cream peas and jellybeans. He takes so long that it gets cold before he can eat it.

- David and Maria can't find each other at the park, because when one is above the bridge, the other is below, and vice versa. They finally find each other.
