Big Bird thanks the Count for his help and admires his work, enjoying how Count continues to rhyme what he's saying with even more numbers.

SCENE 3 At the Fix-it Shop, the Count is busy counting the names in the telephone book, which is disrupting Luis and Rudy from their work. To stop him, Rudy suggests Luis show him his calculator, which the Count learns will help him add up the names in the phone book in a much quieter manner. The Count tries to suppress his urge to count out loud, but it becomes too great as it's not as much fun with the calculator. Luis and Rudy give in and join him in his counting instead.

They tell him to calm down by running around a little, then beating up a pillow. After doing so, Oscar reveals why he's angry: they knocked on his can while he was practicing the piano. He becomes even more infuriated when they interrupt him once more to apologize for their previous interruption.
