SCENE 1 David finishes painting a chair for Mr. Hooper, and is about to make a "wet paint" sign, when Sam the Robot offers to do it for him. The first sign he generates is way too small, fitting in the palm of David's hand. The next one is too big, measuring several feet long. David shows Sam the kind of size he wants for his sign by writing it on a piece of card. Sam is able to reproduce the correct-sized sign, and David comments how good it turned out, casually saying that he could use a hundred more like that. Sam takes that order to heart, and starts spewing signs all over the place.

Notes[]

  • A few of Sam's duplicate signs created during scene 1 would later be recycled for later scenes, including for Episode 0501 and the song "Wet Paint."
  • Oscar plays a similar weather trick in Episode 0592, trying to convince everyone it's going to snow; once again, the real weather ends up thwarting his plan. One difference is in this episode, it was a tactic to stop everyone's activity, whereas in 0592, it is played as a prank at their expense.
