SCENE 1 Big Bird sees a chair has been set upside down in the yard. Tom explains he did that in order to paint its bottom. Big Bird envisions what the street would be like if everything were upside down. In his fantasy, Sesame Street becomes Upside Down Street, where he's the only thing right side up. He observes a kid riding his bicycle and Tom watering one of the trees. He asks Tom to get some birdseed from Hooper's Store, but when the bag is turned correctly for him, all of the seed falls up. Big Bird doesn't think he likes it when everything is upside down, and stops imagining.

He put the milk in the soda bottle, the soda into the fishbowl, and the fish in Bert's cowboy hat. Bert asks, "Now what am I going to wear when I want to play cowboy?"
