SCENE 2 Susan and Gordon come across Oscar humming "Sentimental Journey" as he reads some travel brochures. He has them guess where he’s going on vacation: it has gorgeous scenery and nice breezes. They guess the mountains or the seashore, but Oscar reveals he’s going to the Mud City Town Dump, located just thirty miles South of Sesame Street where it rains all the time. Oscar shows more brochures that advertise places like Lake Lousy and Rancid River.

Muppets Ernie shows drawings to Bert, and Bert has to guess what happened. Ernie has a drawing of an empty bird cage with an open door (the bird flew away), and a man lying on the ground with a banana peel next to him (he slipped on it). Then, Ernie shows Bert a blank page. The answer to that one is that there was a cow eating grass, but the grass is all eaten now, and the cow went home.

SCENE 3 Oscar asks for Bob’s help in packing for his vacation. He hands Bob a tattered old carpet bag he got from his great-great-grandfather and goes through his inventory. Bob makes sure he has his ticket (via Garbage Express), and Oscar packs an umbrella (full of holes, naturally), a pail and shovel, some Attract-a-Bug spray, a can of fly food, and a broken camera.

SCENE 4 Susan takes the opportunity to play a “Here Are Some Things” game using toy transportation modes: a jet plane, a boat, a train, and a horse. Oscar then does his own version of the game, using more toy transportation modes. Included is a garbage truck, which Grouches prefer to travel in. Oscar goes on to brag about how the ugly stewardesses serve coffee, tea, or mud. Susan gives him a rotten send-off, which Oscar admires.

Muppets Ernie & BertErnie and Bert are watching TV, but Bert gets bored and decides to play a record. Ernie tells him to turn down the volume, but Bert won't, so Ernie drowns out Bert's music by playing the radio. Bert then retaliates by turning on the blender. With all four things running at once, they blow a fuse, causing a total blackout in their apartment. Bert goes outside to fix the fuse box, while Ernie turns off all the things that were running. When the lights come back on, they decide to play cards instead of fight.
