Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Susan welcomes you back to Sesame Street. You're just in time to watch Gordon play a trick on Ernie.

Gordon has four things lined up in a row--a harmonica, a whistle, a trumpet, and a banana. He tells Ernie that one of these doesn't belong, and Ernie chooses the banana because you can make music with the instruments, but you eat the banana... or so he thinks. Gordon tells Ernie to blow into the banana and Ernie appears to be playing a horn until Gordon reveals he was honking a horn behind his back the whole time. Amused by the trick, they decide to play the same joke on Cookie Monster, but Cookie has a different idea--you eat the harmonica, whistle, and trumpet, and make beautiful music with the banana!

Film Two men, Big and Little, travel around playing the tuba and violin. Even though they’re different (Big has dark skin, and Little has light skin), together they make beautiful music.
SCENE 2 Gordon has Marlo write the alphabet up to the letter D.
Cartoon Two boys notice a D, saying it looks fat. A resonant voice (Gary Owens) informs them that it's the letter D. This leads to a jazzy story about a dog who digs for dice, wins a duck, and buys a dinosaur with a dime. Moral: "If you dig a dinosaur, drop your duck for a dime."

Rewarding his kindness, she gives the boy back his jellybeans. All is well until the monster shows up and the girl reveals the reason the monster was bothering her was because he wanted the jellybeans. Now the boy has them, so she's no longer afraid. The monster eats the entire bag of jellybeans and gives the boy a kiss. Our hero is no longer afraid, but he still doesn't have jellybeans. Stay tuned....
