Picture	Segment	Description
	SCENE 1	Gordon picks up his newspaper from Hooper's Store, and welcomes the viewer to Sesame Street, right as it starts to rain. As he goes inside, he sees Oscar getting wet on purpose, which Gordon thinks is weird, but Oscar doesn't.
	Cast	Buddy and Jim: Jim tries to explain to Buddy what umbrellas are for, but they are both clueless what to do after opening them.
	Cartoon	Alice Braithwaite Goodyshoes is standing next to a bathtub full of water. She is dry. A monster appears and throws the water at her, causing her to be wet, and then kisses her. "Bleah!" she says.
	Muppets	Ernie and Bert: Ernie and Bert watch the Alice cartoon on TV, and Ernie laughs when he sees Alice being kissed by the monster. Bert says Ernie wouldn't think it was so funny if a monster kissed him. Beautiful Day Monster appears, and kisses Ernie, who says, "Bleah!" Bert laughs.
	Celebrity	Burt Lancaster shows what he does when he's happy and when he's angry. When he's home, he watches Sesame Street.
	SCENE 2	Susan comes into Hooper's Store and asks Mr. Hooper for a guitar string and a soda. Mr. Hooper displays his latest invention, his "Super Duper Secret Stealer Stopper", which uses music to stop anyone from wanting to take his famous sodas. It works so well, he dances right out of the store and doesn't come back.
	Muppets / Cast	A blank Pumpkin Anything Muppet is on the verge of sneezing. Gordon puts ears and eyes on it, then finally a nose, which helps him sneeze.
	SCENE 3	Susan plays the guitar and sings "Going for a Ride in the Car-Car" with some kids.

	Celebrity	Listen My Brother sings their own version of "The Alphabet Song".
	Cartoon	A worm declares that the word "worm" is the only important word that begins with "W". A walrus retaliates by dumping a bucket of water on it. (First: Episode 0001)

	SCENE 5	Gordon challenges the kids to say a few tongue-twisters starting with the letters W and S.

	Muppets / Cast	Gordon encounters a woman who's going to sell sea shells by the sea shore. He assumes she's Sister Susie, but she's actually Penelope Pepperpot. This marks the origin of what would later be Oscar's catchphrase, "Ding dong, you're wrong!"
	Cartoon	A sprightly seal tells the story of six silly sailors who split up on a see-saw. Artist: Tee Collins (First: Episode 0002)
	Muppets / Cast	Our Pumpkin friend is once again blank. Gordon puts on him some eyes, then a nose, then some ears (which help him hear music), and announces that there will be music after the next segment.
	Celebrity	James Earl Jones counts to 10.

	SCENE 6	Susan reads the book If I Were a Mother ... by Kazue Mizumura, about different animal mothers.
	Muppets	Bert says that he and Ernie are looking at the "Mysterious Nose-Snatcher." Ernie, disagreeing, walks closer and closer to the camera to see. His face begins to black out the screen...but when he moves back into view, his nose is missing!
	Cartoon	A boy's jump rope rhyme identifies the parts of his body that hurt - "otherwise I feel fine!" (First: Episode 0003)
	Cast	Bob sings "Which Thing is Different From the Rest?"
	Film	"Rectangles" Rectangles in the city and country are shown to a percussion soundtrack.
	SCENE 7	Bob displays the many rectangles found on the outside of Hooper's Store, and holds a balloon to replicate the picture he displayed earlier.
	SCENE 7 cont'd	Bob almost gives Eva his balloon, but it floats away. He then wonders what it would be like to fly in a balloon, and sings "Up, Up and Away."
	SCENE 8	Gordon, Bob and the kids look at some box turtles, and decide to have them race.
	SCENE 8 cont'd	Gordon announces the first of today's sponsors, which is S.
