Gordon picks up his newspaper from Hooper's Store, and welcomes the viewer to Sesame Street, right as it starts to rain. As he goes inside, he sees Oscar getting wet on purpose, which Gordon thinks is weird, but Oscar doesn't.

Buddy and Jim: Jim tries to explain to Buddy what umbrellas are for, but they are both clueless what to do after opening them.

Alice Braithwaite Goodyshoes is standing next to a bathtub full of water. She is dry. A monster appears and throws the water at her, causing her to be wet, and then kisses her. "Bleah!" she says.

Ernie and Bert: Ernie and Bert watch the Alice cartoon on TV, and Ernie laughs when he sees Alice being kissed by the monster. Bert says Ernie wouldn't think it was so funny if a monster kissed him. Beautiful Day Monster appears, and kisses Ernie, who says, "Bleah!" Bert laughs.

It works so well, he dances right out of the store and doesn't come back.
