Title

Elmo Says BOO! is a 1997 Sesame Street direct-to-video special celebrating Halloween. Elmo visits the Count's castle to tell him funny scary jokes. Classic Sesame Street segments are separated with new joke segments set in the castle's exterior, featuring one Sesame Street character and a child, and interior, featuring the Count, Elmo, and some combination of the Bats, the Skeleton, a painting of the "Groana Lisa," a suit of armor and the Count's pipe organ.

Elmo arrives at the Count's castle to tell him some spooky jokes and gets frightened by the surroundings. Elmo tries to knock, but the knocker activates itself. Before the Count opens the door, they exchange a knock-knock joke, making it the first joke on The Count' list. As he brings Elmo inside, the door shuts itself too.

Ernie and Bert explore an Egyptian pyramid. Bert is excited but Ernie is afraid. They see statues that look like them. Bert decides to explore a tunnel while Ernie looks at the statues, and then the Ernie statue starts tapping and talking to Ernie. But when Ernie calls Bert back to the room, the statue doesn't move. Ernie is scared until the statue starts singing "Rubber Duckie" with him. Bert doesn't believe Ernie, until he says "Bye-bye, statue," and the statue replies "Bye-bye!" and laughs... just like Ernie.

Elmo and The Count begins to recite several more jokes until they get tuckered out and can't think of any more. The organ suggests they go to the kitchen for some screech cobbler. Elmo adds the pun to the joke list, making 15 jokes. He does a Count-like laugh and summons some thunder, scaring him into the kitchen.
