Ellen DeGeneres (b. 1958) is a stand-up comedienne, actress, talk show host (The Ellen DeGeneres Show), and former judge on American Idol.
DeGeneres appeared on Sesame Street in the 1990s with Elmo to share a set of headphones playing "Put Down the Duckie." She appeared again in Episode 4140 to present "ballet" as the Word of the Day.
Her successful talk show Ellen (2003 on) finally will have a Muppet-related guest, Kermit the Frog, in November 2011. The show has also featured a Dancing with the Stars performance to "The Muppet Show Theme," an appearance by Jim Parsons in which clips were shown from his appearance on Sesame Street, and a birthday cake for Lady Gaga, that incorporated Kermit the Frog's face (in reference to one the artist's famous costumes).
