Ellen DeGeneres (b. 1958) is a stand-up comedienne, actress, talk show host, and former judge on American Idol.

DeGeneres appeared on Sesame Street in the 1990s with Elmo to share a set of headphones playing "Put Down the Duckie." She appeared again in Episode 4140 to present "ballet" as the Word of the Day.

Her successful talk show Ellen hasn't featured any guests directly related to Muppet projects, but has hosted a Dancing with the Stars performance to "The Muppet Show Theme," and a birthday cake for Lady Gaga, that incorporated Kermit the Frog's face (in reference to one the artist's famous costumes).
