Ellen DeGeneres (b. 1958) is a stand-up comedienne, actress, talk show host (The Ellen DeGeneres Show), and former judge on American Idol.

DeGeneres appeared on Sesame Street in the 1990s with Elmo to share a set of headphones playing "Put Down the Duckie." She appeared again in Episode 4140 to present "ballet" as the Word of the Day. In 2003, she voiced Dory in Disney-Pixar's Finding Nemo.

Her successful talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show (2003-present) welcomed its first Muppet-related guest, Kermit the Frog, on November 9, 2011.
