Ella Mitchell (b. 1937) is a singer and actress who appeared in a 1973 episode of Sesame Street, where she sang "That's What My Song Is For" and "The Gospel Alphabet."

On Broadway, Mitchell took over from Mabel King as Evillene in The Wiz.

Mitchell's other credits include the 2000 film Big Momma's House (appearing briefly in the title role, otherwise impersonated by Martin Lawrence).
