Elizabeth Spriggs

Elizabeth Spriggs (b. 1929) is a British character actress who played the Duchess in the Creature Shop TV movie version of Alice in Wonderland.
Spriggs' film roles include the Fat Lady in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (a role subsequently taken over by Dawn French) and Mrs. Jennings in Pride and Prejudice, while television work includes two appearances as Aunt Agatha in Jeeves and Wooster, Mrs. Gamp in Dickens' Martin Chuzzlewit, and Mrs. Leadbetter in Agatha Christie's Taken at the Flood, from the Poirot series.
