The Talk 'n Play was an interactive toy produced in the 1980s and early 1990s, originally by Child Guidance and then by Playskool. The toy was an audio cassette player with four colored "Answer Buttons". When verbally prompted, pressing one of the Answer Buttons allowed the listener to hear one of four responses. Each Talk 'n Play cassette was paired with an illustrated book, including color-coding for each of the Answer Button prompts.
At least three Sesame Street book-and-tape sets were released for the Talk 'n Play:
- Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street? (included with new Talk 'n Play units)
- A Silly Sesame Street Story: The Three Little Pigs
- Loveable, Furry Old Grover in Please Don't Push the Red Button
There was also a Muppet book-and-tape set called Opening Day at Peppermint Park.
