Ed appeared in the Mopatop's Shop episode "The Happy Flapper". Ed is a genius when it comes to coming up with lyrics. He asks the Happy Flapper what he wants the song to be about, and shortly after, Ed has put it all together.

The puppet was originally one of The Muppet Show Aliens.
