Scrooge

Ebenezer Scrooge is the main character in The Muppet Christmas Carol. A shrewd and coldhearted moneylender, Scrooge is the sole surviving member of the firm of Scrooge and Marley, following the deaths of his partners Jacob and Robert Marley. He browbeats his bookkeepers, especially his clerk Bob Cratchit, and is universally despised, even by his own nephew, Fred.

Following a ghostly visitation by the Marleys, and by the Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present, and Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, Scrooge revisits his past behavior and vows to make amends.

Oscar the Grouch echoes the Scrooge role in the 2006 direct-to-video special A Sesame Street Christmas Carol, and has used the catchphrase of "Bah Humbug" on a 2008 t-shirt, and again on a 2010 t-shirt.
