"Earth, Rain and Mud" is the name of Slimey's "damp rock" group, as well as the legal title for their hit song. Luis and David find the band practicing, so Oscar turns up the amplifier so they can hear them sing their song about sounding out the word "MUD." They applaud for the group using their fingers rather than hands.
The band name is a parody of Earth, Wind & Fire, while their song parodies "My Sharona" by The Knack.
