Early Bird on Sesame Street is a 1980 Sesame Street book featuring Big Bird.

Big Bird wakes up really early one morning, and can't get back to sleep. He decides to walk around the neighborhood and find someone to play with. But everyone who's up early is really busy -- the bakers are baking bread, the fruit and vegetable sellers are getting their daily produce shipments, the firefighters are cleaning their fire engine, the policemen are lining up for roll call, and the newsdealer is getting the day's papers.

Big Bird walks back to his nest, and he feels sleepy again. All of his friends wake up in the morning -- but Big Bird, tired from his early-morning adventure, is sound asleep (even when Little Bird flies over to wake him up).
