Driving Miss Daisy is a 1989 film adapted from the Alfred Uhry play. Both follow the story of widowed Daisy Werthan, a retired school teacher, and her chauffeur Hoke Colburn. The film won four Academy Awards, and the play won the 1988 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
- The movie poster was parodied in the Muppet Parodies 1998 Calendar as Driving Me Crazy, with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy in the lead roles.
- In the Muppet Babies episode "Muppet Babies: The Next Generation," the Babies (as characters from The Jetsons) play a game of charades, with one of the guesses being "Washing Miss Daisy."
- Dan Aykroyd played Boolie Werthan in the feature film
