Drama League of New York holds an annual benefit gala.

Its February 6, 2012 event was called "Musical Celebration Of Broadway", and held at The Pierre Hotel. Kristin Chenoweth kissed Elmo on the red carpet, and Eden Espinosa sang "For Good" from Wicked with Elmo. John Tartaglia quipped in a Broadway World segment that he was double dating with Elmo. In the same clip, Elmo says the thing he most likes about Chenowith, who was being honoured, is that she's the same size as him.
