DEBUT | 2005 |
Donald Grump is a Grouch who has more trash than any other Grouch in the world (and often brags to others about it). It is said that he has so much trash that it spills out of his trash can.
He appears in a 2005 episode of Sesame Street as a parody of Donald Trump (who himself has a Muppet caricature). In this episode he is looking for a Grouch apprentice to help him sort all his trash, some of which the chosen apprentice would get to keep. Oscar, Grundgetta, Omagrossa, Swampy, and even Elmo contended for the job. Elmo won since he did every job correctly, but was instantly fired for doing everything correctly. Despite this setback, Elmo was awarded Grump's hairpiece (which is not a real loss, since he has several of them).
