Doc Bullfrog is the well-to-do owner of the Riverside Rest. He was the chairman of the judges at Watterville's first annual Christmas talent contest. He also helps wrap up the "happy ending" of Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas by offering the Frogtown Jubilee Jug Band and Alice Otter a permanent gig singing and playing in his establishment.
Other versions
In the stage version, Tyler Bunch performed the puppet character in 2008, while Leo Daignault assumed the part in 2009. Steve Whitmire operated the puppet at Jim Henson's Musical World.
Bunch later performed the character again at the 2013 National Puppetry Festival.
