In a 2004 episode of Sesame Street, Gordon learned that, in the 1950s, his dad was once a popular singer known as "Johnny Uno." His dad even had a hit song, "Do the Macaroni," which he sang on a show called Sesame Street Bandstand (a parody of American Bandstand).
