Walt Disney World is Disney's theme park resort in Orlando, Florida. The resort includes four theme parks -- the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios (soon to be renamed Disney's Hollywood Studios), and Disney's Animal Kingdom.

As the Walt Disney Company prepared to buy the Muppet characters in 1989, the Muppets produced The Muppets at Walt Disney World, a primetime special in which the Muppet characters explore the parks.

The Henson/Disney deal fell through in the wake of Jim Henson's death, but some of Henson's initial plans for Muppet attractions at Disney-MGM Studios were completed.

In 1990, a Muppet stage show was mounted called Here Come the Muppets, featuring full-body characters playing to a vocal track recorded by the Muppet performers. A second stage show, Muppets On Location: Days of Swine and Roses, followed in 1991, and played for three years.

Muppet*Vision 3D, an elaborate attraction featuring a 3D film with animatronic effects, was introduced in the park in 1991. The show is still a popular attraction in Disney World today, and it was recreated for Disneyland in 2001.

Full-body versions of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and Sweetums appear in the park's Disney's Stars and Motor Cars Parade.

Over the years, a few different Muppet-themed stores have sold Muppet merchandise in the park.

Disney World has also hosted Bear in the Big Blue House: Live on Stage, a stage show based on Bear in the Big Blue House, from 1999 to 2001.

The Imagination Pavilion in Epcot currently features Dave Goelz as the voice of the dragon Figment which can be heard in both the Journey Into Imagination with Figment ride and in the ImageWorks.
