Chip and Dip are a pair of identical cats who appeared on Sesame Street in the mid 1980s. The pair spoke in raspy voices and enjoyed playing tricks on Oscar the Grouch. They also played the drums and piano in Hoots the Owl's band.

The duo reappeared in the Monsterpiece Theater sketch Inside/Outside Story in the early 90s. Kevin Clash reprises Chip while David Rudman performs Dip, due to the passing of Richard Hunt in 1992.

One of the puppets most recently appeared in a CSI spoof. The duo also appeared in a 2007 episode with different colored eyelids.
