Robbie and Baby Sinclair front an ad for the two issue run of the Dinosaurs comic book

Dinosaurs was adapted into comic form for wwo issues published in 1992 and 1993 by Hollywood Comics (which was then owned by Disney). Each 48-page paperback comic book featured comic stories based on the Dinosaurs TV show. Each issue contained four different stories. Additionally, stand-alone stories surfaced in Disney Adventures magazine during this time. The principal writer for most of the stories was John Workman, and other employers came from the then inhouse Disney staff.

The end of the comic book was exacerbated by both the TV series' ratings and scheduling changes, but more so by dissolution of Disney Comics as an in-house production in the summer of 1993, with the company's various titles either reverting to Gladstone Publishing or ceasing publication entirely, and its comics output now being limited to supplements for Disney Adventures.
