Die Muppets: Briefe an den Weihnachtsmann is the German dub of A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa.

The special will be released on Region 2 DVD in PAL format on December 3, 2009, by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

The length of the special has been announced to be 53 minutes, which corresponds with the 55 minutes long extended US release of the special, whereas the reduction of minutes hails from the conversion of NTSC to PAL format during which films are being sped up slightly.

The DVD release will most likely feature the same bonus content as the US version, advertised as Das Muppets Weihnachtsstrumpf-Buffet. It further features the original English sound track, and subtitles in English, German, and Italian.

Traditionally, most releases of Muppet movies and specials in German have had great inconsistency in terms of voice artists sticking to their characters. No statements have yet been made as to which voice cast was used for this dub.
