"Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" is the closing number in episode 423 of The Muppet Show, where it is sung by Miss Piggy and its original performer, Carol Channing.

The song was again featured as the closing number in episode 109 of Muppets Tonight, where it was sung by Whoopi Goldberg and Miss Piggy (with both decked out in jewels from Harry Winston), backed by the Penguins.

The proposed cover A of issue #4 of The Muppet Show Comic Book is a spoof of either the "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" sequence in the film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, with Piggy in the Marilyn Monroe part, or Madonna's "Material Girl" music video, which is in itself a spoof of the aforementioned musical number.
