Dermot appeared in the Mopatop's Shop episode "Flea Power", were he was looking for a good scratch. At first Mopatop and Puppyduck have difficulties locating a good scratch for him they try a feather duster and a tail warmer but they don't work. At last they notice the box with the jumping fleas and Dermot ends up convincing the fleas that they should go home with him and help him get the scratch that he loves so much.
His puppet was previously used for background dogs in The Animal Show and was later used for Captain Woof in the episode "Ship Ahoy."
