Demetria Devonne "Demi" Lovato (b. 1992) is an actress, singer and songwriter. After being discovered by Disney in a nationwide talent search, she was quickly dubbed "the next big thing" by the company, who introduced her as Charlotte Adams in the short five-minute Disney Channel series As The Bell Rings, eventually leading to the lead role of Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel movie Camp Rock and the title role in the series Sonny with a Chance. Her debut album Don't Forget was released on September 23, 2008.
Lovato appeared alongside the Muppets in Studio DC Hosted by Selena Gomez where she performed her song "This is Me" with Beaker after her original duet partner, Kermit the Frog, was dragged off the stage by a jealous Miss Piggy.
