Danger Mouse is a British animated series, which was produced between 1981 and 1992 by Cosgrove-Hall. The series starred a brave, eyepatch-sporting mouse secret agent, Danger Mouse, and his worried sidekick Penfold, as they embarked on assorted comedic adventures. The show became an international success, and spawned an equally successful spin-off, Count Duckula. Both shows aired in the United States of America on Nickelodeon.
- In the comic book Muppet Sherlock Holmes #3 "The Red-Headed League" (November 10, 2010), the first panel's narration box spoofs the typical episode intros of Danger Mouse, which would open with the narrator saying "London. Home of the greatest secret agent in the world." It then quotes the lyrics to the opening theme ("The strongest! The quickest! The best!") This also references the fact that, in the series, Danger Mouse is headquartered on Baker Street, just like Sherlock Holmes.
