Dan Blocker (1928-1972) was an actor best known for playing Eric "Hoss" Cartwright on the TV show Bonanza, from 1959 until his death. In 1970, for Sesame Street Season 2, Blocker appeared in several inserts with Bonanza co-stars Lorne Greene and Michael Landon.

Blocker's other work included appearances on Gunsmoke, Maverick, The Flip Wilson Show, and a leading role in the comedy Westerm film Cockeyed Cowboys of Calico County.
