The Count's Father appears in a flashback scene in Episode 3012 of Sesame Street. He sees his son off to America, leaving their home in the old country. However, the Count is stuck counting all the goodbyes from his relatives, making him an adult by the time he actually leaves. His father and others make a surprise visit at the end of the episode.
In a Number of the Day sketch, the Count claims he inherited his royal title from his father.
