Convincing John appeared in animated form on the animated version of Fraggle Rock, in "Fraggle Babble."

The characters design changed slightly in animated form. He received a warmer skin tone and his eyes were drawn closer together.

Just like his puppet counterpart, he was assisted by the Fragglettes.
