Constance Marks is the director and co-producer of 2011 feature documentary Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey. Her husband, a cinematographer named James Miller, met Kevin Clash when working on Sesame Street; Clash filmed a special VHS for the couple's daughter, which began a fascination with Clash for Marks.

It received Special Mention at the 1998 Bermuda International Film Festival, Best Documentary at the 1998 Cinequest San Jose Film Festival, a Special Jury Prize at the 1997 Denver International Film Festival, Silver Spire at the 1997 San Francisco International Film Festival, and Taos Land Grant Award at the 1997 Taos Talking Picture Festival.
