Connecticut is the 5th state of the United States of America.

• Don Sahlin was born in Stratford, Connecticut.

• The University of Connecticut provides the only Puppet Arts Training Program in the United States. Pam Arciero, Jan Rosenthal, Tim Lagasse, Mark Gale, Frankie Cordero, Lara MacLean, Heather Asch and Jennifer Barnhart all received degrees in puppetry from the institution. The school also awards the Jim Henson Memorial Prize in Puppetry.
