Common (b. 1972), born Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr., in Chicago, Illinois, is a hip-hop artist and actor. He performed with Tavi Fields on the Sesame Street video "For Me, For You, For Later" as the voice of a rapping penguin.

He also appeared during the show's 43rd season, singing the song "Belly Breathe" with Colbie Caillat.
