Columbia Records

Columbia Records is a record company that was founded in the late 1800s. It is one of the oldest record companies that is still in operation today. Columbia Records released many Muppet albums and singles, especially during the early days of Sesame Street.

Columbia Records is currently part of Sony BMG, a 50-50 venture between Sony Music Entertainment and Bertelsmann Music Group, which also owns Sony Wonder, RCA Records and Arista Records. In Japan, however, Columbia Records is an entirely different company.
