Cleo Laine (b. 1927) is a British jazz singer and actress who guest starred on The Muppet Show episode 216. In 1978, Rowlf the Dog returned the favor by appearing on Cleo, Laine's self-titled series. She was interviewed in the 2002 documentary I Love Muppets.

Laine is the only singer to have been nominated for Grammy Awards in the pop, classical and jazz categories. She acted and sang on stage beginning in the 1950s prior to her recording career, and continued later by starring as Julie in Show Boat on the West End, Princess Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin Drood on Broadway (receiving a Tony Award nomination), and the witch in the 1988 to 1990 national tour of Into the Woods (with Charlotte Rae and Rex Robbins).

She was made a dame of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 1997.
