Founded in 1984, Cirque Du Soleil is a French Canadian performance art circus.

In 1989, the Muppets visited the show in Muppet Magazine issue 25.

For The 84th Academy Awards, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy introduced a Cirque Du Soleil Oscar's performance.
