This album was based on the Christmas Eve on Sesame Street special, with songs and dialogue from the original soundtrack, as well as additional narration (spoken by Jon Stone who subtly reveals himself to be Santa Claus by the end of the story). It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Recording for Children, but lost to In Harmony: A Sesame Street Record.
