Christian Rode

Christian Rode (b. 1936) is a German actor who dubbed Dr. Bates in Gulliver's Travels and has voiced Bert in American footage on Sesamstrasse since 2001.

Rode had the distinction of voicing Victor Laszlo in the original German dub of Casablanca in the 1960s. His other dub credits include Julius Caesar in the Asterix animated features, Michael Caine in four films, Charles Dance in Gosford Park, Derek Jacobi in the Brother Cadfael series, and the narrator in Pan's Labyrinth.
