The Cheery Log appeared in the Mopatop's Shop episode "The Brave Canary". The log was delivered by Lamont the Sloth and she quickly began to say how wonderful the shop was and how much she liked Puppyduck, Mopatop and Moosey Mouse. It turns out that the log was just what the young canary Kevin needed to get enough courage, so he could feel comfortable to sing his very first song.

The Log originally appeared on Sesame Street in the Monsterpiece Theater segment "Twin Beaks," belonging to the Log Bird.
