Charles Gibson

Charles Gibson (b. 1943) is a television personality best known as an anchor on ABC's Good Morning America from 1987 to 2006. In this role, he interacted with the Muppets during several of their appearances.
In a 2007 Sesame Street episode, he presented "predicament" as the Word of the Day.
Gibson voiced Charles Blitzen, a Muppet reindeer news anchor, in Elmo's Christmas Countdown.
Currently, Gibson is the anchor for World News with Charles Gibson, the flagship evening newscast by the ABC News division, until his retirement in late 2009, when Diane Sawyer will replace him.
