Cats are a carnivorous mammal of the subspecies felis, or feline. The term generally refers to domestic cats, who are usually small in size, although the family felidae includes a range of larger, more ferocious "cats," such as lions, tigers, panthers, and cheetahs. Both wild and domestic cats have frequently been depicted in Muppet productions.
